Janet (Jan) H. Long

Janet (Jan) has been publishing in print media for over 40 years. Her areas of interest concern family, faith and health. She’s worked with survivors as a member of a sexual assault response team (SART) sponsored by St. Francis Counseling Center in Long Beach Island, NJ and studied survivor advocacy through The New Jersey Victim Assistance Academy (NJVAA) part of the Rutgers School of Social Work. Jan facilitated in K-8 classrooms for NJCAP (New Jersey Child Assault Program) a partner of the International Center for Assault Prevention (ICAP) teaching students about everyone’s right to be safe, strong and free. She’s currently based in the DC area and is available to speak to groups about spiritual healing after sexual violence. Her book Divine Disclosure can be found on Amazon.

She has a M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.
