Herbal Facial Steams
Facial steams are designed to add moisture to the skin and loosen impurities. To use, cleanse the skin before a facial steam treatment. Pour hot water into a heat-proof bowl and empty contents of one tube into the bowl. Set timer for at least five minutes. Drape a towel over your head and position your face at a comfortable level above the bowl. Wash your face after the steam and apply moisturizer.
Relaxing: rose, chamomile, lavender, calendula, lemon balm, & cornflower
Cleansing: calendula, yellow roses, orange peel, chamomile, cloves, & cinnamon
Clearing: eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender, oregano, basil, eucalyptus & peppermint essential oils
Properties of herbs used:
Rose: has natural anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and astringent properties, plus it is full of natural oils and Vitamin C, which hydrate and replenish dull, dry skin.
Chamomile: helps with indigestion, lowering bad cholesterol levels, insomnia and anxiety, premenstrual syndrome pain, and renews softness of the skin.
Lavender: is relaxing and refreshing, lowers anxiety and related conditions.
Lemon balm: soothes feelings of anxiety, relieves Insomnia and depression, and has antioxidant properties.
Calendula: fights inflammation, lowers depression, relaxes muscles, and aids in healing wounds.
Cloves: relieves headaches, boosts your immune system, and aids in digestion.
