Internships

Who We Are  >  Internship Opportunity

Internship Opportunity

R:199 offers internship opportunities.  It is critical that those who work directly with survivors have significant related volunteer or work experience with urban populations and/or trauma survivors, are able to make a long-term commitment to the organization, and are emotionally and spiritually mature enough to confront the difficult challenges trauma recovery always presents. Our first priority is the well-being of the individuals we serve.
     Applications are due by:
     Fall
 | March 15th
     Spring | October 15th
     Summer |
February 15th

Undergrads

Internship (non-paid)

Credited Internship  |  Fall / Spring / Summer
Undergrads are able to learn about managing a charity, community awareness raising, and advocacy.  Internships can be for fall, spring, or summer semesters.

Graduates

Clinical Mental Health

Internship  |  2 Semesters
Due to the difficulty of building trusting relationships with trauma survivors, clinical internships are only offered for two semesters, fall and spring combined. Students will gain experience in individual, group, and family work.

Credited Internship  |  1-2 Semesters
Many students have a specific project that they are working on for a class such as marketing, program evaluation, advocacy, etc. and are interested in using Restoration for their assignment.  Others are interested in general experience in learning about charity work. Internships can be for one or two semesters; fall, spring, or summer.
